WHY did you decide to join the CSS Program and come to Carolina?
I decided to join CSS because the opportunity to join a cohort of fellow students interested in STEM appealed to me. CSS seemed like it had the ability to provide me with the resources to succeed in both undergrad and future paths.
WHAT are you most looking forward to doing during your undergraduate years?
All throughout high school the idea of participating in research during college stayed on my mind. In my undergraduate years I hope to be involved in a lab and solve real problems.
what is a research topic you are interested in exploring?
Research topics I’m interested in exploring include artificial intelligence, machine learning, and natural language processing. All of these fields allow me to better the world around us and make positive change.
WHAT are your future goals?
In my four years at Carolina I want to be heavily involved in research, and by using the knowledge gained, I want to one day better the lives of a multitude of people and make a change through computer science.
