What attracted you to the CSS program and Carolina?

I really value the mentoring and guidance that the program provides to scholars. This guidance will not only help me thrive through my undergraduate but extend to helping me pursue education beyond that. Combined with the ability to partake in exciting research and the chance to surround myself with brilliant students from diverse backgrounds, I knew the CSS program was a fit for me.

What are you most looking forward to experiencing at Carolina over the next four years?

I look forward to branching out and trying new interests through clubs and research at UNC. I plan to make use of the endless possibilities here to satisfy my growing curiosity.

What research topic(s) are you interested in exploring and why?

I am interested in studying the research of diseases and creating medication to help others. More specifically, I would like to see how I can help medication for behavioral disabilities become more exact and effective. With more exact medication, millions could receive the proper treatment for their specific circumstances.

What is one thing you hope to accomplish in your future STEM career?

I hope to be able to engage with my community and educate others on the importance of diversity in STEM settings.
