I hope to launch an AI research and development startup that can not only be pioneering new algorithms but also considering the socioeconomic impact of implementing new technologies.




What attracted you to the CSS program and Carolina?

The mentorship and cohort-model made me feel like CSS was really invested in my success. This became especially apparent while talking to CSS scholars at Selection Weekend.

What are you most looking forward to experiencing at Carolina over the next four years?

I’m really looking forward to experiencing Study Abroad and being able to conduct research while immersing myself in a different culture.

What research topic(s) are you interested in exploring and why?

I’m really interested in exploring the development and ethical usage of AI because just like any other technological innovation, there are always ethical issues that arise with intelligent machines.

What is one thing you hope to accomplish in your future STEM career?

I hope to launch an AI research and development startup that can not only be pioneering new algorithms but also considering the socioeconomic impact of implementing new technologies.
