“In my future STEM career, whether it be a personal project, or as a component of something else, I hope to create a highly intelligent artificial system, much like J.A.R.V.I.S.
What attracted you to the CSS program and Carolina?
One aspect I always felt was lacking within the marketed career options was research. As a child, I knew I like STEM, but everything presented to me effectively lead me to believe that I had to get a job for some company to earn money, and that there was no plausible alternative. The CSS program is created to combat a similar notion, and Carolina is one of the biggest public research universities in the world.
What are you most looking forward to experiencing at Carolina over the next four years?
To be honest, my computer science education. Though I always had my reservations, I believe that college classes are highly adept at ensuring that their participants actually learn their content.
What research topic(s) are you interested in exploring and why?
My research topics lie mostly within AI and machine learning. To be more specific, my goals are to further the progress of Artificial General Intelligence, improving the ability of a computer to think and learn across the board, and not only in one specific area.
What is one thing you hope to accomplish in your future STEM career?
