WHAT DREW YOU TO THE CSS PROGRAM?

I was drawn to the CSS program by the wonderful research opportunities offered, the level of academic preparation and support the program would provide, and the opportunity to form a close bond with a cohort of amazingly intelligent people that can both challenge and support each other.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE CSS EXPERIENCE SO FAR?

My favorite CSS experience so far is whenever we as a cohort would plan movie nights every week during the summer and use that opportunity to get to know each other better.

HOW HAS CSS SHAPED YOUR CAREER GOALS?

The CSS Program has shaped my goals and career path by showing me that I can strive towards bigger dreams. I wasn’t super sure about what I wanted to do before I came to UNC and even a little now, but I now know that scientific research is what I desire to pursue in my future career.

WHAT IS YOUR PRIMARY RESEARCH INTEREST?

My primary are of research interest is either molecular biology or genetics because its so fascinating to learn about life on such a molecular level and be very hands on, especially when it comes to doing experiments in the lab.
