What attracted you to the CSS program and Carolina?
In high school, I really enjoyed having a close network of peers and teachers to bond with in my STEM classes over four years and was worried that I’d have trouble finding that same environment and fit in a large university. I chose CSS because I thought it would be the most similar to my high school environment while also providing avenues to access the many resources that UNC-CH has to offer and I’m excited to get to know the rest of the CSS team.
What are you most looking forward to experiencing at Carolina over the next four years?
I look forward to exploring the many research opportunities that Carolina has to offer while also learning more about what I am interested in and want to pursue in the future.
What research topic(s) are you interested in exploring and why?
Computer Science never fails to amaze me because I know that I can apply it to any subject and have the freedom to take my Computer Science skills wherever I go. Currently, I’m exploring what it would be like to apply Computer Science to astronomy.
What is one thing you hope to accomplish in your future STEM career?
I want to learn more about the research world and how I can be a part of it. I’m confident that CSS will help me rise into the professional circles I want to be in to reach my goals.
