Becky Hirsch is a fifth-year PhD candidate in Cell Biology and Physiology studying endometrial cancer. She is from Baltimore, MD, and earned a B.S. in chemistry at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. Becky worked at CRISPR Therapeutics in Cambridge, MA for two years. At UNC, she has mentored undergraduate students in the lab and chaired the Future Science Educators career cohort. She has also participated in community science events, including the UNC Science Expo, the New Hope Elementary School STEM Extravaganza, and the NC Science and Engineering Fair. She enjoys mentoring students and fostering their scientific curiosity. She looks forward to working with scholars to help them maximize their academic, professional, and outreach pursuits. Outside of CSS, she likes cooking, card games, instrumental music, and edutainment videos.
