WHAT ARE YOUR FUTURE GOALS?

After completing medical school, I hope to do a surgical residency and then become a practicing surgeon.


WHAT DREW YOU TO THE CSS PROGRAM?

I knew that CSS would support me academically, personally, and financially, and that I would be provided with resources and networks that would help me be successful in pursuing a career in science and medicine.


WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CSS EXPERIENCE OR MEMORY?

Meeting some of my best friends from college!


HOW HAS CSS SHAPED YOUR CAREER GOALS?

CSS enriched my academic experience by providing a network of students and mentors who championed my success and broadened my perspective. Additionally, the program introduced me to research, and taught me what it means to be a “scientist” and a life long learner. A career in medicine is something that I’ve dreamed about for a long time, and CSS provided me with a lot of the tools that guided me on my journey to medical school.


WHAT IS YOUR PRIMARY RESEARCH INTEREST?

My primary research was conducted in the Auditory Neurophysiology Lab under Dr. Paul Manis, PhD.
