I’m interested in Practicing medicine as a cardiologist or general surgeon.

The benefits that the program offered for its scholars, such as early class enrollment, tutoring, a network with various STEM professors, and a cohort of likeminded peers.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CSS EXPERIENCE OR MEMORY?
The field trip to UMBC. [Each year, the new cohort of scholars participates in a networking opportunity to get to know the new scholars in our sister programs: Meyerhoff Scholars at UMBC, Millennium Scholars at Penn State University, and other schools that offer similar programs.]
HOW HAS CSS SHAPED YOUR CAREER GOALS?
It helped me to get into the classes that I needed to get into med school, and it helped prepare me professionally for the application process.
WHAT IS YOUR PRIMARY RESEARCH INTEREST?
I primarily worked on Nutrition Data Set Research (NDSR) at the Nutrition Coordinating Center in UNC’s Gillings School of Global Public Health under my PI Dr. Kimberly Truesdale.
