2022 Selection Weekend COVID-19 Safety Protocols
The health and safety of all finalists and guests attending the 2022 CSS Selection Weekend events is our top priority. As such, we would like to share the following information that will allow everyone to experience the beautiful Carolina campus while exercising caution in a global pandemic:
- Masking
Masks will be required inside all university buildings. Masks will also be required outdoors in group settings unless actively eating or drinking. We will have extra masks for anyone who needs one. Additional information about Carolina’s masking guidelines can be found here. - Emphasis on the outdoors
Indoor gatherings will be minimized and spaced to allow for physical distancing. Lunch will be served outdoors at the Carolina Inn.
(Late February weather in Chapel Hill is usually pretty temperate, but dress in layers just in case! Lunch will be served in a covered area with space heaters to ensure your comfort.) - Social distancing
Time spent as one large group will be minimized, in favor of smaller group sessions to allow for easier physical distancing. Finalists will be assigned to a “pod” for the day’s events, led by current scholars, which will allow them to foster deeper connections with other like-minded students while minimizing exposure to a crowd.
Thank you for your cooperation!
